Terms of Service
Effective date: October 14, 2026
These terms are between Grizzly Tec LLC, of Spring, Texas, which provides its software and services under the name Anvil (“Anvil”, “we”, “us”), and anyone who uses this website, the Anvil diagnostic, or a system Anvil builds and runs (“you”).
1. What these terms cover
- This website and the diagnostic. The free diagnostic asks about your business and produces a report.
- Anvil systems.Business software we build for a company (“Customer”) and run for it as a monthly service, together with the custom development work to build it.
2. Signed agreements come first
When a Customer has a signed service agreement with us, that agreement and its proposal govern the work, prices, payments, deliveries and legal terms. These terms fill in only what the signed agreement does not cover, and apply to everyone the Customer gives access to.
3. The diagnostic report
The report is produced with the help of artificial intelligence from the answers you give. It is general guidance about your operations, not legal, financial, tax or accounting advice, and it may contain mistakes. Decide with your own advisers.
4. Accounts and access
The Customer decides who in its company gets access and what each person can see. People sign in with a link sent to their email; keep access to that email account secure. Tell us at once if you think someone used your access without permission.
5. Your data is yours
Everything a Customer brings to its system or creates in it — its data, files, templates, categories and the way its jobs are set up — belongs to the Customer. We use it only to provide and support that Customer’s system, never for another client.
6. The software
- The Customer receives a perpetual, non-exclusive license to the code of its system: keep it, change it, or hand it to anyone else to work on.
- Anvil builds every system on its own toolkit — the components, patterns and tools it brings to each project. That toolkit stays Anvil’s.
- Everything else on this website (text, design, the diagnostic) belongs to Anvil.
7. Connections to other services
An Anvil system can connect to services the Customer already uses, such as QuickBooks Online and Connecteam, and uses other providers to run (listed in the Privacy Policy). Every connection follows the same rules:
- the Customer authorizes it from its own account and can revoke it there at any time;
- Anvil accesses only what the feature that uses it needs;
- a connection only reads, unless the Customer approves in writing that it may also send information back;
- Anvil only reads from QuickBooks Online; it never creates, changes or deletes anything in it.
Those services keep their own terms, and the Customer keeps its own subscriptions to them active. If a subscription lapses or a connection is revoked, the automatic sync stops; that is not a failure of Anvil.
8. Figures shown
The figures in an Anvil system come from the Customer’s own sources. Anvil reads and presents them; it does not audit or correct them. Business decisions made on those figures are the Customer’s.
9. Acceptable use
Do not: try to reach data you were not given access to; interfere with or overload the service; copy or resell the service or the diagnostic; use any of it for anything unlawful; or submit content you have no right to share.
10. Fees
Fees, invoices and payment terms are set in the Customer’s signed agreement. If an invoice goes 30 days unpaid, we may suspend the service after written notice and restore it once payment is received.
11. Ending the service
Either party may end the monthly service as set in the signed agreement. During the 30-day transition the system keeps running, and we move the application and its database, with all its data, into accounts in the Customer’s name. Connections registered under Anvil are re-registered under the Customer’s own accounts, with our help. We then delete our own copies.
12. Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other’s non-public business information confidential. We access a Customer’s data only as needed to run or repair its system.
13. No other promises
Apart from what a signed agreement states, the website, the diagnostic and the systems are provided “as is”. We do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party services they depend on will stay available.
14. Limits of liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees the Customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim; for the free website and diagnostic, it is zero. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Neither party is liable for delays outside its control, including vendor API changes, carrier approvals and outages at third-party services.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will post the new date here. For Customers with a signed agreement, changes to that agreement are valid only in writing, signed by both.
16. Law
Texas law governs these terms, and any dispute is heard in Harris County, Texas.
