Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Grizzly Tec LLC, of Spring, Texas, provides its software and services under the name Anvil (“Anvil”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and your choices. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
1. This website and the diagnostic
- What we collect: your industry and language; your answers in the diagnostic conversation; the page that sent you here; your email address, and your name and phone number if you give them, so we can send your report; and your IP address, used to prevent abuse (we store only a scrambled version of it).
- Why: to produce your report, follow up on it if you ask us to, improve the diagnostic, and protect the site.
- Artificial intelligence:your answers are processed by Anthropic’s Claude to run the conversation and write your report.
2. Anvil systems we build and run for our Customers
A Customer’s system holds that Customer’s business information. We process it only on the Customer’s instructions, to provide and support its system.
- People who use a system: name, email, phone, job title and preferred language, as the Customer enters them. Sign-in works by a link sent to the email address; there are no passwords.
- Business information:jobs, budgets, costs, checklists, requests, messages and documents the Customer’s team enters or connects.
- Receipt photos:stored privately in the Customer’s database. To save typing, each photo is read by Google’s Gemini to pick out the vendor, date, amount and tax. When Anvil’s own account is used, it is a paid Google service, under which Google does not use the photos to improve its products. If a Customer chooses to use its own account with an AI provider, the terms between that Customer and that provider apply.
- Messages and alerts: when the Customer turns it on, alerts, receipt photos and messages can travel through Telegram, and alerts can arrive as browser notifications.
- Hours: when the Customer connects Connecteam, we read its jobs, timesheets and people to put hours on each job.
3. Connections to other services
Every service a Customer connects (QuickBooks Online, Connecteam, or any other) follows the same rules: the Customer authorizes it from its own account and can revoke it there at any time; Anvil accesses only what the feature that uses it needs, and only for that Customer; a connection only reads, unless the Customer approves in writing that it may also send information back; and nothing obtained through it is sold, rented or shared with anyone for their own use.
QuickBooks Online. When a Customer connects its QuickBooks Online account, Anvil reads that company’s accounting records — expenses, purchases and bills, with their dates, amounts, vendors and the job they belong to — to show each job’s costs.
- Anvil only reads; it never writes to QuickBooks.
- The Customer authorizes the connection from inside its own QuickBooks account and can revoke it there at any time. When it is revoked, Anvil stops reading.
- The data is used only to provide Anvil to that Customer. It is not sold, rented or shared with anyone for their own use, and only the people the Customer gives access to can see it.
- We act for our Customer, not on Intuit’s behalf, and we do not process this data for Intuit.
4. Where data is kept
Each Customer’s system has its own database, hosted in the United States. When the service ends, the system and its data are moved into accounts in the Customer’s name and we delete our own copies.
5. Who helps us
We use these providers only to run the website and the systems, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Vercel — hosts the website and the systems.
- Supabase — databases, sign-in and file storage.
- Anthropic — the diagnostic conversation and report.
- Google (Gemini) — reading receipt photos.
- Telegram — alerts, receipts and messages, when the Customer uses it.
- Resend — sign-in links and notices by email.
- Intuit (QuickBooks Online) and Connecteam — only when the Customer connects them.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
6. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep it
Diagnostic information is kept for 2 years after your last use of the diagnostic, or deleted sooner if you ask. A Customer’s information is kept for as long as the Customer’s service runs, then handed over to the Customer and deleted from our accounts.
8. Security
We protect information with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards: each Customer has a separate database, access is limited to the people the Customer approves, and connection keys are kept out of reach of the app’s users.
9. Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information by writing to hello@grizzlytec.com. If you use a Customer’s system, we may refer your request to that Customer, since it controls that information.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We will post any update here with its new date.
